- Best overall: May and June, after the winter crowds and before summer storms, with some of the best discounts, per U.S. News.
- Whales and perfect weather: mid-December to April. Peak prices; the average Cabo room rate tops $500 a night, per U.S. News citing the Los Cabos Hotel Association.
- Warmest water and deals: July to October, with heat, humidity and hurricane risk.
- Avoid if you want quiet: March and early April, spring break and Semana Santa.

The Pacific side can be 10 to 15°F cooler than the Sea of Cortez side, and its water 5 to 10°F colder. Cabo gets more than 300 days of sunshine a year.
When hotels cost the most
Peak season runs November through April, per GoVisit Cabo, which recommends booking 4 to 6 months ahead for December to March. Forbes lists May, June and November as shoulder months with slightly lower rates. Rates often drop in May to June and September to October, per Cabo Adventures.
